1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song: sing to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name: proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
Music soothes the spirit, and it is a form of worship to God.
Try this sometime when you’re riding down the road, think of a gospel song you enjoy and then just belt it out. (This works best when alone.)
Around others you may sound like a coyote howling at the moon, but as soon as you’re alone in the car you instantly become the next American Idol. A good gospel song will calm our minds, root out anxiety, doubt, discouragement and bring the Lord’s peace into our lives.
